Associate Director, Digital Media Marketing

JOB PURPOSE

This role provides leadership and implementation of digital marketing strategies to shape and innovate using various social media, own and earned digital channels within Retail Bank. Reinventing these channels into purposeful and impactful avenues to drive brand awareness and affinity, products/segments education, distribution, and sales conversion. In addition, the incumbent must have broad based, hands-on knowledge and experience in digital marketing with strong skew of expertise towards social and digital content marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will strategies, review and administer the company's social media marketing, digital content and advertising, including but is not limited to:
- Deliberate planning and goal setting for social media channels, owned and earned channels
- Map out a comprehensive marketing plan.
- Development of brand awareness and online reputation and positive affinity.
- Content management that includes
o Administrate the development, creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content.
o Create a regular publishing schedule.
o Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan timely marketing campaigns.
o Promote content through social advertising.
- Engagement with consumers and generation of inbound traffic
- Tracking of Social Media campaigns and drive fan base across various social media platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Manage social media marketing campaigns as well as digital banking campaigns to drive adoption and conversions.
- Be an advocate for social media in the bank
- Accountable for digital social marketing governance and lead the team to ensure consistency in digital social media implementation within the guidelines.
Day-to-day activities including:
- Develop relevant content topics to reach the company's target customers.
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
- Monitor, listen and respond to users in a "Social" way while cultivating leads and sales.
- Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions.
- Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
- Oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, etc).
- Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.
- Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review.
- Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.
- Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
- Compile reports for management on digital social media trends, internal social media listening reviews and so on.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- At least 10 years of experience in all aspects of Digital Marketing, preferably in the Banking and Financial industry
- Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing
- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
- Proficient in content marketing theory and application
- Exhibits the ability to move seamlessly from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why proposed digital ideas are analytically sound
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and so on) and how each platform can be leveraged in different scenarios
- Maintains excellent writing and language skills
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
- A team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other team members when necessary. (i.e. content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
- Good technical understanding of the digital world and can pick up new tools quickly
- Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
- Experience in managing media buy and agencies, e.g. SEM, SEM/PPC, Display & Affiliate Marketing
- Strong understanding of digital habits of consumers and the competitive landscape
