Brief Job Description

This role will be involved in performing both mandatory and voluntary corporate action-related Global custody and accounting processing requirements for Wealth Management clients.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Gathering, verifying and disseminating information on Corporate Actions to Front Office and clients
  • Collating client instructions for voluntary or elective events and instructing custodians in a timely manner to protect client entitlements
  • Monitoring upcoming events until all details are finalized
  • Reconciling client entitlements on internal systems against Custodian advices
  • Crediting client entitlements in a prompt manner
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all transactions
  • Liaising with custodians/brokers whenever necessary to resolve any discrepancies or late payment on entitlements
  • Prompt follow up of any discrepancies and issues
  • Reconciliation of cash / stock break.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing
  • Adhere to documented procedures, control guidelines and compliance framework
  • Supporting change by assisting in devising and implementing improved processes

Your Profile
  • Tertiary education (Diploma / Degree in Banking and Finance / Accountancy preferred but not necessary)
  • Preferably with 2 - 5 years operations experience with knowledge of Corporate Action processing.
  • A broad knowledge of Private Banking, capital market and global securities industry rules.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • An independent and proactive worker with good communication skills.
  • Good team player with eyes for details and good time management skills are essential.
  • Added system knowledge on Swift, EUCLID, Avaloq SmartClient
