Reporting to Branch Manager, Branch Business Manager is to ensure that the Relationship Managers and Product Specialists e.g. Insurance Specialist, Mortgage Specialist etc. in the branches are focused on the performance of retail sales activities to achieve customer satisfaction and pre-determined revenue targets with full adherence to operational and compliance requirements of the bank. Ideally, you bring with you minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with recent 1 year in sales managerial role.

Branch Business Manager, Retail Banking

Reporting to Branch Manager, Branch Business Manager is to ensure that the Relationship Managers and Product Specialists e.g. Insurance Specialist, Mortgage Specialist etc. in the branches are focused on the performance of retail sales activities to achieve customer satisfaction and pre-determined revenue targets with full adherence to operational and compliance requirements of the bank. Ideally, you bring with you minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with recent 1 year in sales managerial role.

Responsibilities:
• To provide excellent customer service and assisting our customers to achieve their financial goals through various financial products (Investment and Insurance).
• Ensure Relationship Managers and the relevant specialist achieve targets set out in terms of retail wealth and/or mortgage revenue
• To provide timely information and/or recommendations to the Management on issues that will have an impact on our business.
• To be professional and ensure service delivery.
• To ensure customer’s enquiries are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with the relevant internal and external policies and guidelines
• Ensure Relationship Manager’s and Specialist’s completeness and timeliness of documentation.
• To oversee, assess and ultimately approve or support wealth and mortgage application submitted by the Relationship Managers and Specialists.
• Adopt two-way communication channels at all levels.
• Provide continuous coaching, feedback and counselling to staff in scheduled and/or ad hoc basis for their continuous growth and development.
• Identify staff’s training needs from appraisal of their work performance & abilities vis-à-vis  work requirements and expectations.
• Provide appropriate training for staff such as on-the-job training, job rotation and cross training & participate in the training of staff.
• Continuous interviewing and hiring of Relationship Managers in order to sustain the business. 


Requirements:
• Recognised Tertiary Education in Business Administration, Banking and Finance or equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of proven financial sales experience in a retail banking environment; and/or at least 1 year in sales managerial role.
• Sound knowledge of consumer banking products like wealth product and mortgage.
• Self-motivated with strong customer service orientation.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Effective presentation and writing skills, preferably bilingual in English and Chinese to communicate with Chinese clients.
• Team player with strong leadership qualities as well as proven people management skills.
• Creative thinker with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
• Training and coaching to branch staff.
