CPB Asia Banking and Lending Technical Lead
Maintain control and governance in compliance with regulatory requirements, Citi policies and operating procedures, delivering effective Manager Control Assessment (MCA), and satisfying satisfactory audit results.

Overall Job Responsibilities:

Manage regional service support & delivery for Banking & Lending; manage a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives and implement global/regional initiatives for the region in line with CPB strategy and objectives, which in addition to delivery, requires strong management of stakeholder requirements and prioritization, financial planning and resource management.
  • Establish & maintain productive partnerships with APAC / Global Business, Operations and Technology partners. Ensure - goals, objectives and requirements of the business are represented and understood; governance framework/processes are in place to manage initiatives so that they are delivered successfully for the business.
  • Manage a multi-vendor environment with the aim to achieve optimum results from a technical, cost and service delivery perspective. Drive YoY efficiency and productivity by vendor rationalization, resource & location strategy, in(out)-sourcing (as and when appropriate).
  • Build a team which acts as a trusted partner to the business by delivering products and services benefiting the business; leverages the capabilities of Citi/industry in identifying solutions that contribute to the goals of the business.
  • Build talent within the team by creating a culture of ownership/accountability focused on delivering results, meritocracy and transparency.
  • Continuous evaluation of customer satisfaction and value perception.
  • Maintain oversight over production management to ensure optimal production management services for applications & infrastructure supporting the business, ensuring alignment with expected business defined service levels, business priorities.
  • Ensure consistent monitoring of metrics from partners & service providers to measure performance and drive optimization in order to provide continuous value and service to the business.
  • Manage budgets, financials, forecasts / outlooks, allocations, financial reporting accurately with transparency.
  • Ensure proactive, accurate and timely communications services, issues, risks, etc.
  • Continuous evaluation of customer satisfaction and value perception.


Risk & Controls
  • Maintain control and governance in compliance with regulatory requirements, Citi policies and operating procedures, delivering effective Manager Control Assessment (MCA) results, and satisfactory audit results.


Candidate Profile / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Master's Degree desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of wealth management industry, products and operational processes in banking domain
  • Strong experience in leading multi-year strategic/transformation initiatives in the private banking domain.
  • Strategic thinking - from asking the right questions to developing technology strategy and roadmaps
  • Comfortable with change - embraces change and demonstrates adaptability and flexibility
  • Strong leadership and ability to motivate the team. Proactively builds shared interests and goals across organizational and cultural/ geographical boundaries
  • Experience leading, visioning, and executing end-to-end software projects in an agile environment, with cross-functional teams (regional / global)
  • Experience navigating and align stakeholder groups on business vision and priorities, managing the value stream and messaging down to the delivery team level
  • Strong interpersonal skills & communication skills, spoken and written - demonstrate ability and proven track record in building partnerships and collaborative relationships at various levels within the organization, people and relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, ability to influence outcomes outside of direct sphere of influence.


Technical Experience
  • Proficiency with developing mission critical global applications using distributed technologies such as Java/J2EE, Micro services and Dev ops
  • Experience designing and managing highly responsive platforms
  • Experience on Angular, UI/UX, Enterprise scale messaging experience in Kafka/JMS or derived JMS technologies, Data Management and RDBMS (SQL, Sybase or Oracle) and In-memory data grids/caches (like Gemfire) can be an advantage
