The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.
Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide. Position Overview

This KYC Steward position plays an integral role in the KYC (Know Your Customer) framework for GTB Cash Management, Institutional Cash Management (ICM) and GTB Trade, Trade Finance Financial Institutions (TFFI).
Today's regulatory and compliance environment requires a robust and efficient KYC process and strong non-financial risk management, making the role an important part of the first line of defense within the business.
The KYC Steward is an expert for KYC and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) topics and provides specific guidance and advocacy to KYC Officers, Accountable Client Owners (ACO) and other relevant stakeholders within the ICM and TFFI Client Life Cycle.
He - she works closely with the KYC Quality Control teams to address identified problem areas and risks associated with processes. He - she develops and implements further improvements to the governance framework as a 1st Line of Defense in close coordination with other risk and control functions within GTB and Deutsche Bank.

  • Center of Competence within the assigned clients - regions assisting in KYC Key Operating Procedure (KOP) queries and for any applicable local KYC requirements
  • Acts as first point of contact for ACOs and KYC Officers for KYC & AFC related questions and engages with other stakeholders as required
  • KYC review case management: monitors status of all KYC reviews and ensures the process moves along by coordinating the effort of relevant stake holders
  • Coordinates group reviews and monitors timely completion of the Even Driven Reviews (EDR) for ICM-TFFI clients
  • Engages in the implementation of changes in KYC Policy and development of KYC Key Operating Procedures
  • Ongoing optimization of existing KYC processes based on specific requirements for correspondent banking, in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Control Units, AML - Compliance and Legal)
  • Develops and implements related business control procedures to impacted teams
  • Represents ICM and TFFI business in certain regulatory projects with correspondent banking impact
    Professional and personal requirements:
    • Recognized university degree and - or several years of equivalent professional experience
      · Good knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and AML risk implications; experience with compliance, regulatory and - or KYC related topics
      • Risk awareness and understanding of how business risks are managed and mitigated in financial institutions
      • Experience in Project Management
      • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues at all levels of seniority and in virtual teams
      • Communicates in a clear, accurate, persuasive and confident manner
      • Resilience and commitment, ability to plan and prioritize
      • Accuracy, diligence and the ability to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines
      • Command of MS Office applications and general computer proficiency
      • Effective and concise communicator in English and German - both written and spoken, paired with good presentation skills
