We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Client Selection and Exit Management Lead.

Principal responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed understanding of HSBC policies, guidelines and HSBC Global Standards Programme affecting the Retail Banking Wealth Management business especially in the areas of enhanced Customer Due Diligence and Know Your Customer processes in order to meet Singapore and Hong Kong regulatory requirements
  • Manage and implement the Client Selection and Exit Management work stream of Global Standards Programme in a sustainable and consistent manner to ensure close governance and oversight of customer exits across all stages of the exit management process as per Client Selection and Exit Management framework.
  • Influence and interact with stakeholders and members of the Client Selection Committee.
  • Ensuring adequate input is obtained for each recommended exit case received before reviewing or building case and make rational and prudent recommendations to Client Selection Committee for decisions based on facts gathered on each case.
  • Build strong relationships adopting a joined up approach to support the smooth execution of Client Selection and Exit Management end to end.
  • Ensure that internal and external regulatory requirements are met
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory requirements, Retail Banking Wealth Management and Group policies and standards and minimize risk to the bank or Group.
  • Maintain a clear and transparent audit trail of decisions of all cases discussed at Client Selection Committees
  • Maintain and provide Management Information of all exit cases and bulk exit cases to report into Country Client Selection and Exit Management committee chaired by Management.
  • Awareness and compliance with any data restrictions and local regulations.
  • Ensuring adequate input obtained for each case to build comprehensive case for Committee decision
  • Identifying the complexities and constraints to existing customers at a product level and looking for cross Business and cross border indicators including working with Financial Crime Compliance and Relationship Managers to conduct customer searches.
  • Provide a clear and transparent audit trail of all exit management decisions and actions.
  • Providing close monitoring and governance over the end to end Client Selection and Exit Management process for Retail Banking Wealth Management including the timely accurate collation of Management information of all customer exits


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Candidate to possess relevant amount of banking experience
  • Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory and Compliance matters.
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with of the Group Operations guidelines.
  • Understand, maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal or external auditors and external regulators.
