BlackRock Data Services is a centralized data group dedicated to ensuring that all information required for the investment management process including positions, security data, pricing, risk, cash, net asset value (NAV), performance and compliance are delivered consistently, accurately and on a timely basis. As part of BlackRock Data Services, our Client Service Integration team is accountable for designing and implementing reporting and billing solutions for our clients. Responsibilities include successful delivery of critical functions daily and partnering with global colleagues to craft and advance a globally aligned vision and business model, including the provision of market leading reporting solutions and effective client service. You will also handle following:

  • Delivering a top-notch client experience via front-line client service to clients and related third parties, including responding to client queries
  • Act as a single point of contact for clients reporting and billing needs
  • Analyzing trends in data requests to constantly improve service and client deliverables
  • Understanding the flow of client, market and fund information across BlackRock and external data providers
  • Facilitating bespoke report and bill creation through analyzing and researching client, market and fund data and related information
  • Constantly evaluating systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies and making recommendations for improvement
  • Building and maintaining deep knowledge of our Aladdin platform in order to leverage data and feedback to help evolve report content and presentation
  • Supporting various projects, including automation/standardization efforts, the evolution of standard deliverables and response to regulatory changes
  • Understanding the risk environment within the department – promoting risk awareness, assessment and control

To ensure success, you will have the following qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in asset management or financial services industry with keen interest in investment products with a preference of financial services experience, especially investment management, communications or data visualization.
  • Outstanding client service skills, maturity and discernment in dealing directly with clientele
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven work ethic and willingness to give beyond the scope of one’s role to achieve team and firm objectives
  • Excellent attention to detail, extremely accurate and well organized
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize information, summarize issues and think creatively
  • Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to raise issues



Lastly, your confirmed ability to operate under tight deadlines and prioritize work, coupled with your sound judgement to appropriately document conclusions will provide continued success. Using your proficiency in Microsoft Office, aptitude for learning new applications and your willingness to ask questions (while learning independently) will get you noticed. Programming or automation experience with tools like Python, RPA, SQL is a plus.
