Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) protects the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. It manages the Bank's risks and help to avert unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest. At the same time, we also advise the bank on ethical conduct and governance issues and keep the bank up to date on regulatory and political challenges.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Together with Business Line Compliance, Central Compliance Control and Risk Units, Compliance Controls Testing, Legal, Anti-Financial Crime and other risk functions, coordinating the management of material regulatory requirements, inter alia, through:

  • Advocacy/advisory of all regulatory compliance issues in relation to Deutsche Bank's activities, via internal compliance policies; procedures, communications, monitoring and training programmes
  • Keeping abreast of industry developments and emerging trends, the introduction of new products/services, as well as their implications from a regulatory / reputational perspectives (in coordination with Business Line Compliance);
  • Active participation in the Compliance Risk Assessment and development of a Compliance Country Annual Plan;
  • Promotion of risk Culture within the Bank;
  • Framework for tracking of all major / significant regulatory communication;
  • Framework for tracking of all major / significant legal and regulatory developments – in coordination with Country Management; and
  • Participate in ad hoc Compliance projects from time to time

Key Clients:
  • Internal: Business Lines and Infrastructure Groups (e.g. Finance, Risks, GTO, etc) in Singapore.

Skills and qualifications:
  • Preferred 4 - 8 years prior Compliance or similar experience within a Global Universal Bank

  • Strong Compliance risk management experience, with good knowledge of local regulations/ laws
  • Good knowledge of Compliance topics and risk themes
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Preferred - Experience working for an international bank in a compliance position with capabilities to influence and facilitate decision making process
  • Team player and able to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the 3 lines of defense.
