Function Overview
Treasury Planning and Analysis (P&A) is responsible for measuring, monitoring and managing Nomura Group's liquidity risk. It is responsible for designing and implementing Global Liquidity Risk Management framework across business lines and regions.

1) Liquidity Risk Measurement, Monitoring, Mitigation
2) Ownership of liquidity risk management policy and implementation
3) Implementation of FTP policy while working with Middle Office
4) Sign-off of regulatory ratios (LCR/NSFR) for the regions / entities
5) Reporting of internal and regulatory liquidity metrics

Job Responsibilities:
In his/her role, the successful candidate will be a key member of AeJ P&A team, managing liquidity risk for Nomura entities in the region. The role will involve:

  • Analysing and monitoring liquidity risk arising from business activities
  • Continuously review the liquidity risk framework in the light of changing business dynamics and regulatory requirements
  • Driving ad-hoc automation projects to improve efficiency of current processes.
  • Driving implementation of Global Liquidity Risk policies for AEJ entities.
  • Producing necessary analysis and providing support for discussion with Business Units on Funds Transfer Pricing
  • Reporting of internal liquidity Metrics and regulatory liquidity metrics (LCR and NSFR)

Job Requirements:

  • 4+yrs experience preferably in ALM/ Liquidity Risk Management / Treasury Funding in international financial institution
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework within Liquidity, funding, recovery / resolution planning with hands on experience is a must
  • Prior experience in digital transformation of Treasury function is highly desirable
  • Experience in Design and implementation of liquidity risk and ALM framework of Wealth Management is highly desirable
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with, advanced data handling skill (Excel, etc.) and documentation / presentation skill (Word, Power point.)
  • Experience of Tableau and Power BI is highly desirable
  • Core understanding of the key areas of capital, liquidity, risk management within a securities firm/commercial bank would be an advantage
  • Self-starter and eager to learn, able to take ownership of issues/ project and drive to completion
  • Articulate with excellent communication (written and verbal) skills - ability to communicate confidently across the business lines
  • Ability to clearly explain complex issues, policies, and procedures to multiple stakeholders (e.g. management, colleagues, front office, middle office, back office, risk, audit, etc)
