Credit Risk Project Manager

On behalf of an international bank, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a focus on Counterparty Credit Risk and a track record in delivering complex regulatory projects within an investment banking environment focus. The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Manage the project including all infrastructure and non-infrastructure related activities
  • Own the end-to-end planning of the project
  • Manage the work across the various business teams
  • Control the project including scope, benefits, cost and milestones and compile regular status reports for the various stakeholders and project committees
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of the delivered solution and to manage expectations
  • Ensure that deliveries are smoothly transferred into BAU
  • Play a key role in the transformation of risk

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Management of the credit risk project
  • Ensure Business Delivery of multiples streams
  • All project management activities around including scope, cost, benefit and milestone tracking and reporting and maintaining risks and issues log
  • Work closely with stakeholders and users to ensure that all gaps are identified and closed
  • Work with the technology delivery teams to ensure that the delivery of the various components is on track compared to plan
  • Conduct regular Working Groups
  • Ensure that the new solutions are smoothly transferred into 'Business as Usual' and that all relevant business processes are aligned
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders: Business, Fellow Change leaders inside and outside of Risk, ITO and Front Office
  • Represent Risk across the Bank at key cross functional programmes
  • Timely and clear communications to the stakeholder community

Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong full-life-cycle project experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Derivatives products and Pre-Deal Checking methodologies
  • Bachelors Degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, or another related field (Masters a plus)
  • Significant Experience in major regulatory programs in the Risk/Finance, Banking industry
  • Significant stakeholder experience working with senior stakeholders to deliver change
  • Proven experience in co-ordination of many dependencies and multiple demanding stakeholders in a complex, large-scale deployment environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse and challenging stakeholder community
