The Investment Specialist is responsible for meeting agreed sales and revenue targets. The Lead Salesperson will use detailed client / product knowledge, market knowledge and client relationships to generate sales opportunities and work to meet client satisfaction expectations. The Investment Specialist will acquire and maintain deep knowledge about the allocated client / product by way of research and ongoing contact enabling idea generation of fitting sales solutions. The Lead Salesperson will be conversant relevant legal, regulatory and Bank policy requirements and operate accordingly. Close liaison with existing clients and working to secure relationships with new client opportunities. Working relationships with origination, trading, research, client services, and operations staff - if applicable & to the degree that is commensurate with the business area - to ensure effective end to end client / product delivery.

Your key responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary product expert for alternative investment products including, but not limited to Real Estate, Private Equity, Hedge Funds and Sustainable Investments;
  • Serve as the main point of contact and coordinator for Alternatives with GCG Sales Specialists and Generalists in APAC and globally;
  • Provide educational training to clients, prospects, and colleagues on alternative investments with ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process, and product specific issues
  • Attend and participate in investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers bring valuable information to portfolio managers that may directly impact the management of the client's portfolio;
  • Coordinate due diligence and selection processes both in terms of breadth and investment quality;
  • Initiate and execute new client relationships with investors on behalf of DWS across Asia Pacific; Playing a key role in new business development initiatives

Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required. MBA or CFA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in asset management, banking or financial services industry
  • Established relationships with industry participants and investors in the Asia Pacific market
  • Excellent client facing and communication skills
  • Standards of conduct and business ethics absolutely beyond repute
