Deputy Director, Prevention & Continuity of Care

A leading organization in the Healthcare industry is looking for a Deputy Director to lead a team to engage healthcare providers and policy makers to define the IT roadmap for patients in the healthcare system. The candidate should come with a strong IT project management background with exposure to government related projects.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive and formulate IT strategies to address capability gaps and future needs
  • Provide leadership in the engagement of stakeholders to define their needs and provide oversight of the IT roadmap
  • Develop strategic recommendations and conclusions, write reports and present to various stakeholders and senior management
  • Collaborate with CIOs to identify strategic IT needs and develop and consolidate into the program work plans
  • Review prepared approval papers for any funding or conceptual issues
  • Manage multiple stakeholders & workgroups. Responsible for the execution of successful business process improvement projects from initiation to completion
  • Responsible for the delivery of end to end business process improvement projects
  • Drive the team's stakeholder engagement, to ensure successful articulation & communication of stakeholder needs, IT proposals and co-manage product roadmaps
  • Determine and manage resource allocation matters such as headcount, deployment
  • of project team and utilization of resources
  • Identify the necessary competencies, domain experience as well as build capability and develop career of program resources
  • Review manpower requisition and approve hiring of program resources
  • Perform performance appraisals, promotion nomination and make all compensation related decision for program resources
  • Build competencies in the areas of management consulting and project management while mentoring and transferring knowledge to other team members

Requirements / Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of relevant IT project experiences with 10 years in a management role
  • Experience with business process modelling, industry methods for process improvement, organizational design, or performance optimization in healthcare or government related business is an added advantage
  • Successful track record of working collaboratively with teams
  • Excellent skills to manage multiple stakeholders including users, senior management including the C-levels, IT teams, project teams, and vendors
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Strong people management skills, with proven ability to build teams
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple on-going assignments
  • Fluent English language skills required
