Desktop Support Engineer

We are looking for a skilled support engineer to work with our team of technical and not-so-technical users to troubleshoot desktop/laptop/VDI issues, identify and support hardware and software issues, manage security, handle application packaging and various other IT-related tasks.

You will get exposure to best-of-class modern applications, work with a technology team who deliver best-of-class applications and be part of an exciting space in the Financial Industry, PostTrade!

You will need excellent communication skills, and have patience to handle, help and train difficult users with technology issues. You will have experience packaging, deploying and troubleshooting Windows applications and packages. You can help the Tech Team to build a comprehensive library of user-guides and how-to guides.

Requirements:
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of Windows desktop support experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong experience on Jira & Confluence.
  • Thorough analysis, investigation and diagnostic abilities.

Ideal candidate would also have experience with:
  • MS Office.
  • Bitbucket & Git.
  • Blackberry Work on mobile devices.

Responsibilities (not limited to!):
  • Responding to, logging, tracking and solving client support requests.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
  • Packaging and deploying software via SCCM, choco and/or Jenkins.
  • Issuing notifications of upgrades and change control impacts.
  • Handle ActiveDirectory security changes, password requests etc.
  • Handle email distribution lists.
  • Maintain documentation on processes and guides.
  • Maintain license keys and assignments.
