Director, Strategy & Governance

On behalf of a leading client in Healthcare services providers, we are looking for a Director to join the Planning Group that has oversight in the development of business services and strategies.

He/she will focus on administration and management of the health IT policies, funding proposal governance and review. In the course of his/her work, he/she will be exposed to a wide range of health IT initiatives across the health ecosystem and strategic decision-making by Senior Management.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate policies that help guide Health IT planning, investments and operations, working towards optimising value of IT Services
  • Consult and communicate with key stakeholders during the Health IT policy formulation process in order to ensure smooth and effective implementation of policies.
  • Administer, review and improve existing Health IT governance processes for more efficient review of Health IT initiatives without compromising quality of review
  • Assess Health IT initiative proposals to support Senior Management's review and endorsement of proposals such as to appraise senior management on adequacy of a project's key performance indicators.
  • Serve as key liaison to give guidance on Health IT governance framework, for instance, to guide IT project managers on processes and forums to seek approval for funding proposals.
  • Develop and maintain proper review documentation/records of Health IT initiative proposals, such as statuses of proposal reviews and attainment of project outcomes.
  • Identify, define and track Health IT governance metrics against relevant industry benchmarks.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • SME in strategy and product roadmap related to healthcare or government project is preferred
  • Experience working in Heathcare practice from consulting firm will be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge, formulation and delivery experience in Health IT policies
  • Experience in design, implementation as well as management of IT programmes and projects governance framework.
  • Experience in Project/Programme Management will be advantageous
  • Possess good verbal and written communication, analytical and conflict resolution skills with proven ability to translate complex, technical subjects into clear and concise communications to a variety of key stakeholders of different levels
  • Strong ability to handle ambiguity and high work pressure.
  • Versatile in working independently as well as an effective team player.
