THE GLOBAL TRANSACTION BANKING DEPARTMENT (GTBD) SEOUL DESK SERVES AS A STRATEGIC PARTNER TO RELATIONSHIP MANAGERS (RMS), DRIVING THE PROMOTION AND DELIVERY OF TRANSACTION BANKING SOLUTIONS. WE PROVIDE SPECIALIZED EXPERTISE AND DEEP INSIGHTS INTO CASH MANAGEMENT AND TRADE FINANCE PRODUCTS. STRUCTURALLY, THE DEPARTMENT OPERATES UNDER THE APAC REGIONAL HEAD AND MAINTAINS A DIRECT REPORTING LINES TO GTBD HONG KONG AND GTDB APAC, ENSURING SEAMLESS REGIONAL INTEGRATION.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and profitability across the client portfolio by expanding Cash Management and Trade Finance penetration and accelerating cross-sell of Transactional FX.
- Spearhead the identification, origination, structuring, and execution of Transaction Banking solutions for existing and target clients, leveraging direct client engagement and close collaboration with Corporate Banking RMs, Regional GTBD, and other country GTBD teams to drive disciplined delivery and scalable growth.
- Anticipate evolving sector-specific client needs and market developments, translating insights into differentiated, scalable solutions for Korean clients, proactively institutionalize and replicate proven solutions across the broader portfolio.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of GTBD solutions, from marketing and client engagement through solution design and product advisory, credit coordination, transaction execution, internal workflow management, and booking arrangements, ensuring disciplined execution through deal closure.
- Own senior client relationship management for assigned portfolios and target clients, maintaining a rigorous client calling cadence independently and jointly with RMs and product partners to deepen relationships.
- Partner closely with the Korea Treasury team to maximize FX collaboration and ensure systematic identification and execution of FX cross-sell opportunities.
- Capture, articulate, and socialize client success stories and best practices to drive internal learning, strengthen the value proposition, and enable repeatable execution with other clients.

- Head of GTBD Sales, Trade and Cash, APAC and other GTBD overseas desks
- Heads of Japanese Corporates, Non-Japanese Corporates, Products, and Treasury team, Seoul branch
- Head of Internal Control Functions (Planning, Legal & Compliance, Operation, IT, HR) Seoul Branch
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 10 years of Transaction Banking experience, preferably in Transaction Banking or Structured Trade Finance (STF), with a proven track record of implementing STF solutions in the Korean market.
- Deep technical expertise in STF structures (e.g., Credit Insurance-backed facilities, receivable finance, and supply chain finance).
- Strong Korea market knowledge and top-tier corporate relationships, with an analytical, resilient, execution-driven approach and comfort operating in ambiguity.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization, leveraging strong influencing and stakeholder management skills to drive alignment and execution.
