Disputes Lead
Dispute and Chargeback Team Lead. The position reports to the Head of Risk.

About the job

Supervise risk analysts who manage customer disputes, and resolve escalated issues for team
Identify possible chargeback or compliance failures
Process and perform adjustments for customer disputes using internal systems (ongoing analysis, review and understanding of rules as set forth by the card associations and regulators)
Review and update existing dispute policies and procedures
Provide training for new and experienced staff on procedures and tools
Deliver periodic reports to management, networks and regulators
Keep current on MasterCard / VISA rules and procedures
Ensure activities are in compliance with legal / regulatory requirements and BigPay policy and procedure
Act as a subject matter expert for dispute and chargeback management
Working closely with product / tech and other stakeholders to continuously review flows /process, vendors, etc

To be successful

Have a considerable knowledge and experience (5+ years) in the debit/credit fraud and chargeback handling including issuing scheme rules (operating regulations and dispute resolution)
Be an experienced people manager with a passion for mentoring and upskilling your team
Have a strong understanding of the payment technology industry
Possess strong risk management principles, methodologies and tools, governance principles preferably in a financial services technology environment
Be customer focused with a passion to work closely with other internal stakeholders and teams
Be results oriented with strong influencing skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
Demonstrate aptitude to think creatively to identify new ways to approach common risk and data security problems
