Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in understanding and meeting customer needs by offering the right solutions through the right channels to the right customer segments. The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading retail customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as FX Specialist, Assistant Vice President.

Principal responsibilities

  • ​Provide currency specialist sales and service support to the relationship management teams in serving the Premier and high net worth segments
  • The key role is to demonstrate thorough understanding of currency products such as cash forex and dual currency plus to provide specialist advice to customers, champion and unique sales and service initiatives.
  • Required to analyze market information, commentaries and technical analysis where applicable
  • Provide portfolio management advice and service, and optimise appointments with customers to identify needs and opportunities and provide solutions with the objective of developing sales and service strategies to assist the sales and service relationship managers in meeting and exceeding their individual sales targets.
  • Maintain levels of operational integrity required by HSBC Group
  • Creating and maintaining an environment and relationships where you and the wider Branch team maximise performance in achieving the objectives of the Retail Banking business


Qualifications
Requirements
  • ​Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Considerable years of experience in financial services and retail sales experience or equivalent.
  • Evidence of strong sales results in spot forex and forex option products.
  • Relationship management experience with high net worth clients
  • Strong technical skills in wealth management
  • Strong communication, client focus and influencing skills.
  • Strong sales orientation, networking and portfolio management skills
  • Attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications as required by the regulators
  • Attain any internal standards as required by HSBC Bank Singapore
