The Business Analyst will be part of a Finance Change team working to execute the deployment, set up and/or building of a controlled finance architecture involving reporting requirements across all CFO functions.
The primary focus of the role will be analyzing impacts to product controllers, financial reporting, local regulatory reporting, global regulatory reporting and liquidity management reporting to accommodate new business such as new entity set up and new product execution.

DIVISIONAL / DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEW
Finance Change works across the entire CFO division to ensure that we execute the strategic design and implementation of any major changes to our processes and systems.

We aim to deliver strategic initiatives using leading project management and business analysis as we pursue our goal of protecting and enhancing shareholder value through optimizing the use of our financial resources.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:
In this role, the Business Analyst will be required to:

  • Completing feasibility studies to determine the scope and timeline for delivery of a new business project (Deliverables include; Impact on Finance of proposed CFO architecture, Budget request, Proposed timetable for CFO implementation)
  • Determining the CFO system architecture to be deployed for the specific requirements of the new business initiative (Recommended CFO system/process architecture)
  • Gather detailed data and functional requirements to support PC/FA processes, document in clear, concise and comprehensive manner, and articulate to IT teams for their understanding
  • Determining the CFO requirements and the solution requirements through systems set up, configuration and development (Deliverables include; Business requirement document)
  • Conduct working group meeting, business requirement gathering workshops and UAT status update meetings with PC/FA users and IT teams
  • Preparing test plans and co-ordinate the execution of user acceptance testing by the Financial Accounting and Product Control departments providing CFO services for the new business initiative (Deliverables include; Test plan, Test cases with expected results, Defect register and resolution plan)
  • Determining and co-ordinating the execution of system deployment in a production environment
  • Complete post implementation reviews to determine Day 2 resolution of sub-optimal processes in CFO solution (Deliverables include management of a sub-optimal process register and resolution plan)
  • Provide prompt and concise status updates to project managers, including accurate progress updates and escalation of risks, issues and dependencies in respective areas of responsibilities
  • Support project managers in defining project plans, developing project artefacts and managing stakeholders
  • Conduct training to end users on changed processes and new applications, where applicable.

You Offer
TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS
  • Around 8 - 12 year's experience in either one or a combination of the following; (i) Financial Services industry, (ii) Consulting Services industry and (iii) Audit & Advisory Services industry
  • Demonstrated foundation of Business Analysis (managing and executing change) as it relates to CFO processes through Project roles
  • Strong, detailed analysis skills across business processes and system functionalities
  • Investment Banking product knowledge (Derivatives, Interest Rate, Credit, Commodity, Equities, FX and Securities) and the CFO processes typically required to support such processes
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, presentational) skills, ability to document information accurately and succinctly, and stakeholder management
  • Able to work independently, multitask and work on multiple projects at the same time, perform in a high pressured environment
  • Excellent team player (display enthusiasm, confidence & commitment)
ADDITIONAL RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR CAPABILITIES
  • Qualified Accountant; understanding of US GAAP and IFRS requirements for the accounting of derivatives and financial instruments
  • Experience and understanding of a line Financial Accounting/Product Control role; and/or
  • Familiarity with PMP or an equivalent project management methodology, e.g. certification for Prince 2
  • Experience of process change management, and benefit realisation
