This position resides within Singapore-based Regional Cards & Loans organization as SVP of Risk Appetite. The Cards & Loans Risk Appetite Strategy SVP will be responsible for providing thought leadership and to lead supporting analytics for APAC region to support the Business and Risk leaders on determining the forward-looking strategy for the region.
The role will be an overarching architect to conduct compelling analytics using internal and external trends and data to interpret, evolve, and improve our existing risk appetite framework and thus the credit decisioning. This is a highly visible role and the individual will present to numerous senior leaders in the region and across the globe.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide thought leadership, conduct analytics, and lead strategy recommendations to drive APAC Cards & Loans approach to and application of risk appetite.
  • Bring in outside-in perspective and partner with APAC country risk leaders and teams to influence the thinking & evolution on risk appetite as well as to ensure the strategy & intent is matching the application of risk appetite at granular levels.
  • Conceptualize, drive, and conduct micro & macro analysis to rationalize the framework & outlook to drive the forward looking risk appetite strategy
  • Work with country risk appetite teams to ensure consistency of application (in spirit), monitoring of KPIs, and general governance tracking
  • Extensively communicate to diverse set of stakeholders including business, risk, and functional leaders, internal & external regulators both at regional and global level
  • In pursuit of these goals, the individual will build and manage an onshore & offshore team.


The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Broad based understanding of lending, risk management, P&L drivers, and business strategies and portfolio performance implications .
  • BS, MS in engineering, management, statistics, economics, finance, operations research or any other related quantitative field
  • 7-10yrs of relevant consumer lending, analytics, risk management, modelling, strategy, forecasting experience
  • Fluent in working with regulators and compliance; Strong partnerships across multiple business/functional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior professionals and diverse stakeholders.
