Position Description
Background: This role supports the Asia Pacific Global Markets Operations Technology (GMOT) organization, comprised of employees, contractors, vendor workers, located in 12 countries. GMOT is a part of the Global Markets Technology (GMT) organization. GMOT delivers end-to-end technology, services and operations solutions and production support for Middle and Back Office markets operations for the firm, across securities, derivatives, foreign exchange, futures, options and commodities products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads business management functions including: management routines, financial management, event management, cost measurement, employee engagement, workforce planning and management, risk management, business controls
  • Serves as the key advisor to GMOT APAC Executive, consulting in matters of strategy and priority of large-scale efforts, as well as preparing senior executive for the full range of engagements with peers, senior leaders and business partners where required
  • Manage and support executive routines and deliverables, management routines and leadership engagement
  • Manage and drive production of consistent and appropriate documentation for routines for GMOT and business partners.
  • Develop robust and consistent communication and engagement plans for the executives and teams supported
  • Provide management support to GMOT Risk and Control functions. Support regulatory inspection and Audits

Key Requirements
  • Proven educational record in computer science (or relevant subjects) from a well-regarded educational institution
  • Must be analytical, organized and have the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Global Markets Technology experience
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation experience
  • Ability to bring multiple stakeholders together, cut to the heart of issues to reach consensus & decisions, demonstrate personal courage
  • Ability to lead across multiple lines of business to orchestrate cohesive risk & controls oversight and process management.
  • Prior experience handling multiple facets of an end to end business: financial management, project management, governance, operations and technology management, and strategy initiatives.
  • Strong relationship management skills to influence and navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization
  • Strong business-centric mindset, with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes
  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
