Position Description
Background: The Singapore Collateral Margins team provide collateral management support for APAC clients and are responsible for moving collateral between our accounts and our brokers. The Collateral Margins Operations team provides full support to all functions for the execution and clearing business for all APAC on-shore broker entities and its affiliates across the exchanges. The candidate will be expected to perform various margin functions, making margin calls to counterparties by stated deadlines, monitor their settlement, provide governance and control around key reconciliations and increase efficiencies by utilizing technology. The candidate will track, report and resolve trade/price discrepancies between our customers/trading/sales desks. The process is very time sensitive and requires an extreme attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor clients' and affiliates exposure and process margin calls in a timely manner before settlement cut-off
  • Liaise with clients and internal business partners, including front office, credit risk, legal and technology etc., to resolve call disputes
  • Book and settle cash and securities collaterals in accurate and timely manner
  • Exchanges/Inter-companies margin settlements for futures contracts
  • Breaks resolution
  • Experienced in complex margins dispute resolution and maintain strong client relations
  • Management reporting
  • Processing of collateral audit requests
  • Participate in technology enhancement initiatives, projects and UATs where applicable.

Key Requirements
  • Prior experience of cross product exposure such as Futures, OTC, Prime Brokerage and Repo Margining would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of regional and international Futures markets (SGX, LCH, ASX, TFEX, Euroclear) and different collateral agreement types (ISA/OSA etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively to peer and senior management
  • Independent and self-motivated to deliver
  • Ability to deal with wide scope of demands accompanying the role
