The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.
Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.

Position Overview

Global Subsidiary Coverage (GSC) is the single, globally managed coverage organisation for subsidiaries for our multi-national clients.

GSC is focused on the sale of flow treasury products, including cash, trade finance, flow FX, ST lending, escrow and others, and facilitates cross-sell of episodic products such as structured FX/derivatives, financing & capital markets transactions.

As the local relationship manager you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of clients in Singapore and will work closely with global counterparts and product partners in transaction banking and global markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and leverage relationships across CIB serving client needs
  • Consistently meet revenue requirements as determined by business
  • Build franchise with existing and new clients
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in achieving results
  • Take initiative to create opportunities and brand awareness with clients
  • Communicate and share information clearly, openly and promptly
  • Building strong relationships with the team and product partners

Key skills and qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience selling core corporate treasury products – Cash Management, Trade Finance, Foreign Exchange, Lending
  • Knowledge of and experience selling structured FX, derivatives, structured financing and capital markets products
  • Strong client coverage and relationship management skills; deep knowledge of selling solutions into large multi-national clients and navigating their complex decision-making processing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently and knowledgeably convey ideas to senior client staff and internal stakeholders
  • Lead and mentor junior team members to develop new business, deliver growth, and motivate the team around it
  • A structured, strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail and ability to drive execution of initiatives
  • A strong team player, experienced working in matrix organisations and working effectively with multiple partners and stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of client behaviour in the region and local regulatory nuances and market practices
