The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

* This role runs a BA Practice of 40+ Analysts ensuring analysis delivery across Client Lifecycle Design and Management (CLDM) to align with bank strategy and the client lifecycle operating model
* Weighing benefits of short term tactical vs. long term strategic gains to allocate appropriate priority to requested change items using expert knowledge of all segments in the business with a broad understanding of CIB Banking business and the clients

Business

* Develop and run a CIB/CB CLDM Change Management Process, understand priority of proposed changes and negotiate on change item ranking
* Build and maintain relationships with key business areas
* Provide design review and thought leadership to ongoing projects
* Develop resourcing strategies appropriate to the CLDM change portfolio and work closely with external resource providers where required
* Provide team oversight and overall management (NB: day to day management of individual BAs will be conducted by project PMs)
* Provide individual BAs with training and development plans and monitor progress, enabling line managers to better support and develop their own reports
* Team building and diversity and inclusion maintenance
* Set and ensure quality standards across the team
* Delegate for Head of CLDM Delivery

Processes

* Enable delivery of a quality service to our clients and achieve regulatory compliance across the end-to-end client lifecycle, including coverage of AML, KYC, Tax, OTC reform and FM regulations
* Develop approaches to ensure consistency of analysis deliverables, aligned to standard delivery and operational risk frameworks across teams of varying skills and capabilities
* Chair business analysis forums between business and IT for project reviews, best practice sharing and role alignment
* Develop the CLDM change management process to ensure traceability and transparency of the change book of work across the network and within the change management teams
* Implement prioritization criteria and impact assessment methodologies to assess business requirements across different portfolios of work

People and Talent

* Resource analysis requirements across portfolios of change internal and external to CLDM based on priority, strategic objectives and within funding constraints
* Develop global and regional resourcing strategies (Permanent/Contractor/Consultant) to meet fluctuating change needs, and allow flexibility of the Practice. This includes building relationships with resourcing Vendors and managing relevant contracts
* Support the Head of CLDM Delivery in annual budgeting and planning activities
* Work with programme management to identify analysis development needs within the team and develop plans to address
* Upskill analysts in different delivery methodologies and support programme management in adopting the appropriate delivery methodology
* Identify team talent and develop line management capabilities and lateral growth opportunities within the team

Risk Management

* Responsible for the overall quality, risk management, efficiency and effectiveness of the CLDM systems and processes
* Development and maintenance of a quality business analysis capability governance
* Applying good knowledge of the regulatory environment and ongoing developments to all change work under the framework of 1st and 2nd line risk ownership
