Head of Business Support, Global Financial Institutions
Head of Business Support, Global Financial Institutions
Reporting to Department Head and Global Head of Financial Institutions, this is a senior role within GFI Department. Expected to contribute to the direction and execution of customer service, business support and control, the candidate's role is to enhance the effectiveness of the relationship management team in a dynamic and evolving business environment facing the Department.

The role is also suitable for high energy, process-oriented front office executive in search of a new career direction: one that looks to contribute to business growth working alongside the Relationship Managers and through staff coaching, improving process and procedures, as well as provide balanced business views in business support functions.

Key responsibilities -
  • managing a team of at least 8 Relationship Associates
  • Providing direction and leadership in dealing with other internal stakeholders in operations, client support and credit risk management relating to Bank and NBFI customers
  • Overseeing process improvements to enable efficient middle office and improved high-customer experience of FI customers managed by GFI

Qualifications
Qualities-
  • 10-15 years' experience in functions relating to banking business with FI customers.
  • Good people leadership (up-to 10 direct reports).
  • Understanding of customer needs of Bank and Non-bank FI, including basic product knowledge and documentations in global treasuries, cash/clearing, trade/loans, as well as basic correspondent banking.
  • Familiarity with middle office functions for FI as business unit, including basic control, compliance, credit risk and regulatory reporting.
  • Meticulous and business oriented.
  • Experience in project/process re-engineering will be a plus.
