Head of Operations (Thailand)
About the job
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of BigPay, you will be a key driver in successfully launching and growing BigPay Thailand; based on group strategy and guidelines given to you.
You will assist with the operational setup such as company registration, setting up the banking and payment infrastructure, and managing risk, customer service, and other operational processes and procedures to comply with BOT and AMLO regulations.
Furthermore the role will include building and leading the necessary team, including managing third party vendors, to deliver the success of BigPay Thailand. You will take the initiative to understand the local fintech landscape and be up to date in changing industry trends.
To be successful
Academic background: Bachelor degree in engineering, IT, finance or related fields
Experience: At least 5 years or more working experience in a financial institution, fintech and/or a start-up specializing in financial services e.g. e-money and banking business;
Knowledge: Strong understanding of operations of bank, card scheme, payment service provider and other financial service providers
Range of Responsibility/Strategic impact: Used to working under deadlines and under pressure, ability to set up new activities, tackling issues quickly and efficiently; high level of responsibility in front of the regulatory authorities;
Autonomy & required Initiative: Articulate and ability to use initiative, analytical skills and logical abilities and work with minimal supervision with a strong commitment in ensuring performance. Possess good communication skills;
Highly proficient in Thai language (both written and spoken) and proficient in English language (both written and spoken)
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of people / diverse personalities
