General Description
  • SFO Advisory Services is part of Structured Solutions Group within Product Management Group at Bank of Singapore and will be responsible for:
    • Provision of In-house SFO related services; and
    • Facilitating and coordinating outsourced SFO services through a panel of approved partners
  • Head of SFO Advisory Services is responsible for leading a team providing the above stated services keeping in view bank's growth strategy and governance framework.
  • Strategy:
    • Develop roadmap for setting up, implementing and operationalizing the new SFO Advisory Services business
  • Services management:
    • Lead and coordinate with all stakeholders (front office, legal, compliance, risk, operations, IT, etc.) to establish relevant policies and procedures for Inhouse and outsourced SFO services to be provided to BOS clients
    • Deliver quality services within stipulated timeframe - Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Manage a panel of outsourced partners to deliver quality and timely services to SFO clients
  • Advisory & Collaboration:
    • Identify front office training needs and address these needs (either self or through other departments)
    • Establish network of best-in-class outsourcing partners collaborating with OCBC and other external providers
  • Operational efficiency & Controls:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency
    • Establish policies, procedures and controls to run a robust operation and comply with all regulations

  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in related roles
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services relating to wealth planning and SFOs
  • Strong contacts with MAS / EDB and other relevant institutions to ensure smooth delivery of Inhouse and Outsourced services.
  • Leadership skills with track record of leading a team
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory environment in key markets, and how these affect services delivery to clients
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diversified client and employee base
  • Excellent interpersonal and client skills
  • Proven track record of converting strategies into plans and executing these plans
  • Good degree from a reputable institution in law, business, finance, accounting or tax. Other disciplines to be considered keeping in view candidate's work experience.
  • Holding respective licenses e.g. RNF, CACS1, CACS2 (as applicable)
