Position Background & Objective:

This role is based at Singapore and is responsible for Product Management for the Trade Services business of Citi in Singapore, which comprises the entire suite of documentary trade products and SBLCs/Guarantees, and associated financing structures.

Citi's Trade Services product is one of the largest and fastest growing pillars of our global Trade business. The Trade business is part of Citi's Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS), which is a leading provider of cash management and trade to financial institutions and corporate clients around the world. With a global network spanning 100+ countries, we are uniquely qualified to service clients with local and cross-border interests and provide integrated reporting and management.

This role reports to the Trade Head for Singapore.

Being responsible for the Singapore Trade Services business, including Revenue and P&L responsibility, adherence to Product standards and policies, managing the origination channels we use to reach our customers, localization and regulation requirements, while also focusing on local business developments and revenue oversight. Acting as a link with regional Trade Services business management teams in covering regional deals, driving and analyzing Trade P&L, establishing pricing and network strategy, monitoring metrics and driving digitization.

Key Responsibilities

Business/Product Management:
 Ensure adherence to product standards by ensuring product programs are live/current, working closely with regional/global product management teams and in-country legal/compliance/tax/operations
 Translate client requirements into business requirements; communicate the requirements with regional teams and track the execution of initiatives
 Set pricing strategy for each product.
 Manage and maximize sub-product P&Ls and analyze customer and segment profitability
 Key Metric Analysis (volumes, quality metrics, customer satisfaction, etc.)

Market management:
 Engaging with sales in defining commercialization strategy and identifying target market segments to ensure routes to market are effective and fit the purpose
 Develop different client-facing materials to assist in sales process (incl. client demos)
 Build solution packages and requirement specification and assess financial and technical implications of the deal
 Engage in Country Deal Reviews (deal specific fee pricing and input into interest rate pricing, if any)
 Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations (regulatory updates, risk & control assessments, product programs) - ensure absence of regulatory risks and other exposures to the firm
 Provide periodic training to respective partner teams
 Oversight product/country revenues
 Work with sales/coverage to uncover market developments and identify gaps in functionality, based on internal and external research


 8+ years of corporate/transaction banking experience in ASEAN
 Knowledge of local market specifics and understanding of both market and business drivers and ability to navigate strategically between the two
 5+ Years of Trade work experience
 Revenue analysis or P&L management

 Understanding of TTS products, specifically Trade Services
 Basic Understanding of credit and risk concepts
 Demonstrated skills in problem solving and developing customer solutions
 Excellent communication skills

 Bachelor's Degree at the minimum
 Ability to drive client value by identifying client solutions that are of high quality , compliant with regulations and exceed client expectations
