  • Manage a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team of resources to create and manage application quality assurance teams
  • Own end to end testing of application or a functional area within an application from requirements understanding, test planning, test execution and sign off
  • Manage multiple teams of resources that span performance testing, automation of regression, and quality assurance of transaction and information systems
  • Interface with regional and functional business managers, application managers, regional production support managers, vendor resources and project team leads to outline service agreements, test plans, environment scheduling, approve test scripts, report metrics, etc.
  • Holds business analysts, developers, testers, and support teams accountable for their roles and timelines within the various projects' SDLCs
  • Design a set of metrics that will accurately and clearly measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing teams
  • Build the team in a collaborative style by engaging existing managers and resources and proactively manage the organizational process change
  • Act as a change agent by articulating the business case of change and continued improvement
  • Help manage a group of large consultant as well as Citi quality assurance teams in an onshore/offshore model
  • Ensures consistency and quality of processes across the organization including initiatives such as Engineering Excellence
  • Requires deep understanding of and experience with test management tools
  • Improves quality of applications and user satisfaction by minimizing the amount of defects that go into UAT and production, test processes and perform data validation
  • Requires strong communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence


  • Manages one or more testing teams
  • Has expert knowledge of Jira  
  • Deals with complex and highly variable issues
  • Collaborates with client leads and development organizations; partners with business users
  • Develops testing standards and ensures compliance to the standards
  • Exhibits in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas
  • Impacts IT testing through delivery of end results and contribution to planning, finances/budget and formulation of policies
  • Requires strong communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Has experience managing teams in onshore/offshore model
