Our client is a well established fintech with over a 100 relationships with leading financial institutions. Their investors include some of the largest names across the banking, finance, payments and technology sectors on a global scale. Due to their continued success and growth, they are looking for a Lead Engineer to drive the implementation of core tech.

Lead Engineer (Established Fintech)

Our client is a well established fintech with over a 100 relationships with leading financial institutions. Their investors include some of the largest names across the banking, finance, payments and technology sectors on a global scale. Due to their continued success and growth, they are looking for a Head of Engineering to drive the implementation of core tech.

Job Requirements

This is a highly technical role that requires the head of engineering to be hands-on and contribue to core code around 50% of the time. The team prides themselves on a flat structure and you will work closely with their principal and senior engineers. Other aspects of the job include:

  • Collaborate on new, high calibre development for the core technology platform

  • Work on building a highly scalable and low latency application to integrate users from 6 countries

  • Provide key decision making input on architecture decisions

  • Engage with business stakeholders on a technology roadmap

  • Share responsibility for recruiting and managing the local and regional engineering staff

Management / Team Background

You will report to the CTO and work with the top management involved in direct business and stakeholder decisions. The regional team in headquartered in Singapore with about 15 engineers across the business. The team is also supported by the local engineering team in their respective countries.

Skills and Requirements

  • Expert in Java and Javascript technologies and recent frameworks

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a software engineer to drive large scale projects and implementations

  • Experienced in modern cloud stacks especially AWS

  • Good experience in maintaining CICD pipelines and Agile environment

  • Good experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes etc

  • Ability to analyse and reason among emerging frameworks for optimizing the current business needs and application on hand

  • Exposure across a broad range of technologies is a good to have

  • Previous experience in managing teams and business needs as a technical leader or people manager

You will be working with a team of highly experienced engineers from strong background in leading companies across the consulting, banking and start-up tech domains. The management has a successful track record in building internet companies with an opportunity to grow your career as a hands-on engineer and business leader.

The role will be based in Singapore with limited travelling requirements. You will enjoy flexible work hours and additional perks, as well as remuneration upto 300k SGD per year depending on the right skillset.
