•5 to 10  years of M&A experience, including some in house M&A experience gained with a large corporate.

• Experience in deal services and corporate finance acquired from corporate with commodities background will be preferred.

• Hands-on and able to thrive in a fluid environment where you play a key role in helping to further set up/ establish the M&A function and processes

 

 

Our client is a growing commodity trading firm based in town. For this role, you will be reporting to a seasoned Asia Treasurer who is also overseeing the M&A function.

 

1. Tasks & Responsibilities

• Support the function to set up M&A business plan and assist in managing M&A

process from deal sourcing through final closing, exits;

• Undertake necessary business travels and meetings, regular communications and exchanges with potential deal targets, third party service providers, MMH and related companies;

• Collect financial, industry and market data/information related to sound investment opportunities. Conduct analysis on business and financial opportunities related to targeted companies. Identify and recommend shortlists of potential deal targets;

• Draft deal documentation such as proposals, teaser, memorandum, management presentation, also participate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, third party service providers in due diligence, deal valuation and financial structuring etc.;

• Coordinate with related Functions and other internal stakeholders for financial transfers related to M&A transactions;

• Collect financial, industry and market data/information related to sound investment opportunities

• Develop and deliver integration program. 

• Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Management as per needed by the Function

 

3. Key qualifications:

• Degree in economics, or corporate finance, commercial engineering etc.

MBA degree is a strong asset;

5 to 10  years of M&A experience, including some in house M&A experience gained with a large corporate.

• Experience in deal services and corporate finance acquired from corporate with commodities background will be preferred.

• Strong analytical skills in financial studies and valuation techniques;

• Has good people skills and communication skills. Able to work under pressure and participate in team work;

• Able to use most of the Microsoft Office package for daily work and proved skills in independently preparing high-quality PPT presentations and Excel analysis for

financial feasibilities and results;

• Hands-on and able to thrive in a fluid environment where you play a key role in helping to further set up/ establish the M&A function and processes

• Adaptable and flexible
