We are currently looking to fill a new position for Manager, Global Wealth Management Finance

Purpose

This role is responsible for strengthening the foundations in risk and control for Wealth management product, supporting Group Wealth Management (WM) CFO, Global Product Heads and COO. The role will also drive accounting and reporting process excellence, develop rigorous process management discipline and culture, and manage engagement with regulators and internal/external auditors.

Responsibilities

Key support role for Prudential Banca partnership which generates approx. $300m of performance fees.
Support the performance management framework - reporting and analysis for monthly management committees and forums ie. WMTT, WMMT, WM PGC, WM RBRs, RBMT and PvB MBRs
Understand the end-to-end booking model for Wealth Management Products and ensure that a robust control framework for Finance is in place. Ensure revenue recognition is in line with the Group Accounting Policy and that transfer pricing policies are appropriately applied (where applicable).
Review and ensure the timely execution of month-end processes including journal postings, general ledger reconciliation and book closure. Investigation and clearance of any month-end reconciliation breaks (Discretionary Portfolio Management, Banca reporting of performance fees (Prudential) and Treasury products management reallocations).
Establish the XVA accounting process with FM product control.
Ensure robust documentation is in place for activities performed by the team via timely update and review of the DOIs for month end activities relating to WM.
Contribute to Product Programs (PPGs) and ensure that a control framework for Finance is in place for WM products. Ensure timely review of the finance section of the Product Programmes (PPGs) and that Country Addendums (CAs) are aligned
Ensure rigorous and timely delivery of key regulatory, compliance and reporting milestones e.g. FINREP, Resolution packs, Stress testing and Balance Sheet substantiation
Delivery of Project Sapphire requirements for Group WM led businesses. Understand the rules of transfer pricing (TP) and support the review against guidelines.
Active involvement in the development and implementation of project ASPIRE as part of overall Finance strategy
Partner with the Global Process Management team to develop an optimised operating model, automating & migrating process activity into the Global Financial Services (GFS) centre

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Experience with Finance/Accounting background or working in a control function (Product Control, Finance, Internal Audit, Compliance and Operational Risk) within an international bank setting will be highly regarded
Understanding & experience in Wealth Management product reporting and analytics in the banking industry would be preferred
Key Accounting Concepts, Methodology, Controls and Governance knowledge and awareness
Familiarity with key banking regulations (Eg. IFRS, Basel, MiFID, Volcker etc).
Excellent senior stakeholder engagement and management skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills; a strong self-starter with natural intellectual curiosity; an ability to think both strategically and analytically and apply these skills into meaningful outcomes for the Group
High standard of written English, with the ability to review, summarise and communicate material accurately and succinctly.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while delivering quality output to senior management
Qualified Accountant or MBA strong preference
