The individual will be responsible for:

Supervise the timely production of daily Treasury P&L reporting for multiple countries across the group, which includes the Treasury main products such as Money Market Loans & Deposits, Government Bonds & T-Bills, Fixed Deposits, Certificates of Deposits, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and hedges related Pnl etc.

Monitoring of key controls/ processes around hedge accounting lifecycle, including hedge documentation review, monitoring of hedge relationship and effectiveness, and quarterly testing etc

Responsible for the delivery of various hedge accounting enhancement work streams

Developing an integral understanding of the Treasury Balance sheet to enable insightful analysis and commentaries of Treasury P&L.

Reviewing Daily P&L trends and highlighting gaps / opportunities to Forecast.

Review of Month end reconciliations between the various TP systems and the ledger.

Review of month-end balance sheet substantiation of PC owned traded balances.

Assist in implementation of sound controls and consistent processes around the globe to ensure adherence to International Accounting Standards (IAS).

To provide assistance with IAS related queries, hedge effectiveness testing.


Key contact point for Derivatives MTM P&L issues for Treasury.

Providing advice to Treasury for deal booking to the respective Global Markets Transaction Processing Systems.

Primary contact person for the business and Local Finance teams with regards to issues relating to Treasury P&L reporting.

Purpose
This role is responsible for providing consolidated cost analytics, reporting & controllership support to the Group Wealth Management (WM) CFO & COO.

Responsibilities
Act as a single point of contact for WM's Global CFO and COO in relation to all cost related matters
Act as the first point of contact for Group FP&A, Functions and Regional CFO teams in respect to WM cost related matters
Identify and articulate the key cost messaging to support Group & WM Management Business Review discussions
Ensure the timely & accurate delivery of all core cost reporting, including month end flash, commentary, outlooks and business efficiency tracking
Drive the successful delivery of WM's cost approach & outcomes for Group Planning events (e.g. annual 5 Year projections and bi-annual intra year forecast)
Drive WM's participation in Global improvement initiatives such as MI Digitisation & Planning optimisation
Partner with the Global Process Management team to develop an optimised operating model, automating & migrating process activity into the Global Financial Services (GFS) centre

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Significant subject matter understanding & experience of cost analytics & reporting within large multinational companies in the financial services sector.
Excellent senior stakeholder engagement and management skills
Expert process management and reengineering skill set, including experience of leading large scale system and process change initiatives
Experience in operating within large virtual teams and relationships across a complex network of stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; a strong self-starter with natural intellectual curiosity; an ability to think both strategically and analytically and apply these skills into meaningful outcomes for the Group
High standard of written English, with the ability to review, summarise and communicate material accurately and succinctly.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while delivering quality output to senior management
Qualified Accountant or MBA strong preference
