Metals Sales Analyst


SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Société Générale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia. SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.

Provide risk management solution to Corporate clients in Asia metal industries across the region. Service Financial Institutions in commodities trading (metals). Support MARK initiatives in cross selling .


  • Main Execution role in London trading hours out of Singapore- service Asia metal client base requests to trade during London hours
  • Liaise with OPER and other supporting function in London for Asia MET client base
  • Maintain good client communication flow during London hours


  • Execution of client voice dealing
  • Client service in terms of trade confirmation / reporting / settlement
  • Client relationship maintenance
  • Marketing Singapore based trading Houses and FI in the region
  • Support client onboarding process especially LME clients
  • Cover local London subsidiaries especially Chinese subsidiaries in terms of business and relationship
  • Support CTY e-biz initiatives
  • Provide information flow to Asia team by end of London trading
  • Follow through on compliance procedure
  • Support Asia MET team marketing activities in London
Delegated Responsibilities
  • All execution sales in Shanghai / HK / London fluent and flawless execution via voice

  • Prompt handling client requests in terms of reporting, questions and instruction on the same day
  • Prioritize urgent OPER issues on everyday basis
  • Daily summary and update to key clients of Asia MET - At least two calls per key client per week
  • Maintain weekly calls with e-biz users to understand their needs and deal with complaints immediately
  • Daily email to Asia MET team on the main deals done over London hours and market colour if any
  • Organize the events in London during annual LME weeks or client visit in London
  • Adhere to compliance required procedure on transactional basis

  • Finish required training on time


Competencies & Work Experience

  • Min 1 year experience with LME market
  • Min 1 year dealing with precious metal business and option trading knowledge is a plus
  • Undergraduate or graduate education related to finance or commodities
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong mathematics in financial calculation
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Good writing skills
  • Accounting knowledge to understand financial statement
  • Market knowledge of financial market not only commodities but also other capital markets
  • Knowledge of different type of financing activities related to commodities.
