Network Engineer

Network Engineer

We are looking for a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of an infrastructure team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

· Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
· Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
· Monitoring network usage across all managed network devices
· Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization
· Ensuring all network devices complies with internal management processes
· Undertaking regular preventive measures and implementing regular patches
· Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
· Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
· Provide Level-1/2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
· Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
· Constant upgrade of job knowledge
· Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
· Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team

Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
Ø Good Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields of study
Ø CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued) with product knowledge of F5, Bluecoat, Juniper, Nexus and ASA
Ø Problem solving, project management, network design and implementation, network troubleshooting, network hardware configuration, network performance tuning
Ø Proven hands-on network engineering experience
Ø Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
Ø Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
Ø Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
Ø Results orientated and the ability to perform under pressure
Ø Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ø Good team work, eagerness to learn, independence, strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
