Your role
Are you an expert in business management and/or risk management? Do you have business development and/or product management experience? We're looking for someone to:

– facilitate and coordinate the development, assessment and approval process for new business, changes to existing business and complex transactions
– provide guidance to key business partners (in particular Operating Officer, Control Functions and Business Project Managers) with regards to the NBC (New Business Control) framework/process
– interact with Operating Officer, Control Functions and Business Project Managers and Senior Sponsors as well as closely cooperate with NBC team colleagues globally and across Business Divisions
– review and challenge business case content to avoid gaps or inconsistencies of proposals
– ensure that the risk assessment is consistent and comprehensive across Control Functions, Legal Entities and Business Divisions as required

Your team
You'll be working in the firm-wide New Business Control team in APAC (HK or SG), within the Group Risk Control area. NBC is responsible for the coordination of the approval process of New Business Initiatives, Changes to Existing Business, and Complex Transactions in line with the New Business Control framework. The APAC team focuses on initiatives originating from all APAC locations covering Investment Bank, Wealth Management and Corporate Centre.

Your experience and skills
You have:
– a university degree in finance, economics, business administration or numerical discipline and / or
several years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in business development, product management and/or risk management
– profound knowledge of Wealth Management (preferably in investment products and services) and or Private & Corporates
– experience in front-to-back processes and control frameworks, product shelf, regulatory topics and/or industry specific know-how, ideally with a new business related focus
– strong analytical skills and sound judgment capabilities

You are:
– able to comprehend complex new business initiatives fast and respond to stakeholders about the required course of action
– able to ask critical questions and independently assess, identify and articulate inconsistencies and communicate to stakeholders clearly and concisely
– willing to constantly grow and learn from new cases, work with people across the firm and have a solid work ethic and risk culture
– able to challenge the status quo where appropriate and constructively contribute to business and process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency
– a great communicator (and you know how to handle challenging situations)
– team-orientated, while able to complete tasks independently
