The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering change in OTC Rates-Credit Clearing & Rates Prime Brokerage. As a DevOps Engineer, this person will be responsible for delivering incremental functionality and support to technology platforms underpinning the business, both driven through mandated-regulatory CCP activity and internal business requirements.
The role will manage deliveries and be responsible for analyzing requirements (internally and externally driven), investigating-tracking-resolving production issues-defects, defining-developing solutions with IT partners, managing changes through SDLC tollgates into production. The successful individual must quickly understand Rates and Credit Derivatives dealer clearing and Fixed Income Prime Brokerage business with especial focus on Japan and other APAC markets, as well as become knowledgeable in the system flows and systems architecture. This role acts as a key contact for the local CCPs, the business divisions and the technology solution providers for all aspects of technology delivery. The role is within the FIC IT domain working on Strategic and Tactical deliveries as part of a global book of work.
Tasks - Responsibilities:
Change the Bank: Delivery (50%)

  • Individually plan and project manage assigned projects, throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation through to implementation and post release
  • Track deliverables, tasks, issues and risks, seek mitigation approaches and drive resolution
  • Face off to relevant local CCPs from technology delivery perspective
  • Understand local business flows
  • Capture business requirements and document technical changes required.
  • Challenge requirements where needed
  • Collaborate closely with functional analysts and application for solution identification and estimations
  • Manage user acceptance testing and test case coordination with the business user.
    • Ensure that end users & L1-2 support teams are correctly trained to use solutions being delivered
      • Support technology delivery teams in functional test case generation and test result validation.
      • Document business & techincal process flows
      • Support implementation team and solve post go-live issues
        Application Development & Support (50%)
        • Prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, to eliminate recurring incidents and minimize impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.
        • Perform root cause analysis activities to successfully identify root causes of problems.
        • Proactively identify problem trends and known error conditions and work towards a permanent solution. Eliminate recurring incidents and minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.
        • Perform detailed technology analyses to highlight weaknesses and work on improvements.
        • Work with design-architecture teams to ensure best practices are adopted to ensure stability and supportability of applications and infrastructure.
        • Ensures daily coverage of the Problem Management process. Escalates high priority and major problems not resolved within defined timeframe to Application owners and-or Global Head of Problem Management.
        • Participate in R&C assesments, audits and tests with focus on APAC regulatory requirements. Work proactively towards overall system compliance and known issues remediation.

            Required
            • Strong experience as a Technical Delivery-Project Manager-Business Analyst in an Investment Banking and-or Retail Finance environment
              • Demonstrable experience and knowledge in Listed and-or OTC (Credit and Rates) Derivative products
                • Working knowledge of OTC Clearing, Prime Brokerage
                • Experience in conceptualization and solution definition
                  • Excellent communication skills
                  • Attention to detail, ability to work with deadlines
                  • Good documentation skills including process modelling
                  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
                  • Proactive, delivery orientated approach
                  • Enthusiastic ‘can do' approach to all responsibilities
                  • Ability to take direction as needed as well as being able to work independently
                  • Ability to adapt communication styles (written and verbal) across business and technical disciplines.
                  • Extensive experience in complex infrastructure and enterprise software platform maintenance.
                  • Excellent SQL knowledge.
                  • Good Unix-Linux knowledge and hands-on experience.
