Operations Process cum Business Analyst for a MNC (based in town)

  • Role is 70% on Process Management 
  • Role is 30% on Business Analyst work (gathering user requirement/testing and roll out support) 
  • -Require a technical / Functional Business Analyst with good Process experience 


Our client is a renowned and global MNC. For this role, you report to the Head of Technology and Business Intelligence and are responsible for accurate gathering and maintenance of process information for its marketing/sales business. 

You key focus (about 70% of the time) is to ensure that the processes are continually improved to ensure efficient operations and are able to be adapted, applying Lean business principles to an evolving business model. In addition, you will support dedicated Systems Manager and Business Intelligence Manager (about 30% of the time) in translating the processes into a set of technical and functional requirements following through to roll out and testing phase. 

Process Management 

  • Document and maintain an accurate set of business processes across all sales functions by working with process owners and SMES 
  • Maintain business process database and report monthly progress. 
  • Ensure sign-off from business process owners. 
  • Work towards improving Auction Sales along Process Maturity Curve with clear yearly targets. 
  • Work with the process owners to identify bottlenecks and apply Lean six sigma toolset to make tangible improvements to processes. 
  • Document process and VSM using appropriate Business Process Management software package. 
  • Prepare required process documentation for ad hoc Internal Audits. 
  • Ensure that all processes and subsequent recommendations are documented and made available for Internal Audit requirements with management sign-off. 
  • Review the end to end processes for efficiency and robustness, propose improvements and plan implementation with the relevant staff in functional team. 
  • Ensure changes and improvements are planned and processed mapped using Lean business principles. 


Gathering and defining user requirement support 

  • Support dedicated Systems Manager and Business Intelligence Manager by 
  • Identifying system gaps vs to be business processes 
  • Creating functional and technical documentation 
  • Identifying and documenting non-functional requirements 
  • Resolve conflicting requirements and prioritise and communicate final decisions to stakeholders. 
  • Challenging business requirements to establish practicality of the functionality or better ways of working. 
  • Work with internal/external technical leads and developers to inform the functional design of systems. 


Testing and Roll Out support 

  • Support dedicated Systems Manager and Business Intelligence Manager by rolling out and testing new software, updates to source system & Auction Sales data warehouse as well as front end reporting enhancements. 


Designing and executing user acceptance tests and scripts and test plans are executed in line with specifications. 

  • Creating user manuals / guides for internal and external use. 


Education/Qualifications/Training: 

  • Degree educated, ideally in a technical discipline or equivalent qualification 
  • At least 4 year experience as technical/functional business analyst/consultant with good process understanding 
  • Lean Six Sigma (nice to have) 
  • High level IT skills 
  • High level skill with Viso, Word. Excel, PowerPoint. 
  • Ideally experience with a Business Process management software application 


Core Skills: 

  • Logical thought processes to be able to resolve complex problems. 
  • The ability to work through a problem and independently come up with options for a solution. 
  • Experience of process mapping, process improvement and change management 
  • Ability to work in a busy environment with competing priorities to deadlines. 
  • Good communication and relationship building skills. Ability to confidentially interact with a diverse set if stakeholders and 3rd party service providers 
  • Able to work as part of globally diverse team 
  • Can demonstrate experience across all stages of the software development cycle from inception to release. 
  • MS SQL Server scripting (nice to have but not a must) 
  • Must possess strong analytical skills 
  • Knowledge of analysis methodologies that support the Agile delivery. 
  • Demonstrate recent experience of iterative software delivery e.g. Lean, Agile and Scrum 
  • Must be prepared to work flexible hours when deadlines or projects require
