Your new role
With Security being top most priority in a Bank, Security will be a very huge control and you will be a very essential part of protecting the Bank's security.
You will help to perform mobile/web application penetration testing. You will need to do testing on them as well and make sure the security standards co-relate to the MAS TRM regulations. You will need to do secure code review on the applications.
What you'll need to succeed
You need prior experience in pentesting - 2 + years onwards is fine. Secure code review experience is needed as well. Banking domain experience is a plus but not a must. Experience in tools such as Burp/Nessus, Fortify, Coverity, Source meter is useful for this role.
