Private Wealth Management (PWM) Data Governance and Analytics Team

The data (governance and analytics) team is responsible in executing and delivering on the business’s data governance and analytics framework and strategy. We are looking for a motivated, analytical and self driven individual who is able to bring relevant fresh ideas, concepts around data governance and big data

Main Responsibilities

Execute on PWM’s Data and Regulatory Reporting Governance and Data Analytics strategy and agenda

Data analytics and mining to ensure right data is used for the right purposes, underlying data is of good quality and trusted

Data provision based on the analytics and mining to support existing business needs in the areas of risk management, regulatory compliance and business enablement

Partner with technology on enhancing to a robust, scalable and agile data-warehouse serving the broad spectrum of data requirements across the business

Develop new concepts around big data such as machine learning on unstructured data, data visualization and reporting as the business grows its footprint


Required Experience

Good Communication Skills

Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering , Computer Science or a related field

An analytical mind and team player with demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships by applying quantitative techniques to solve business problems

At least 8 years’ experience with data quality, data analytics, data profiling, and data management and related work

Sound knowledge of data governance frameworks and strategy

Possess a strong ability to query and use large, robust data sets across multiple platforms and assist buildout of data-warehouse

A strong communicator, with clear articulation of analytical findings through presentations.

Ability to multi-task

Works efficiently in fast-paced environment

Experience gained in banking / financial services industry. Private Banking knowledge is preferable.

Experience with data visualization packages and/or tools will be a plus

Familiar with analytical frameworks and possess strong knowledge in languages such as SQL, R, SPARK, Phython, Hive and other Hadoop-based languages
