Join a US-listed pharmaceutical MNC, who is recruiting for an astute Regional Internal Controls Manager. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance in Singapore and work closely with their corporate headquarters. You are a driver of robust compliant internal controls and influence impactful enhancements across the APAC and local financial and commercial processes.
You will be driving and harmonizing the internal control initiatives across APAC, manage finance policies and implementing global policies and procedures coming from the corporate headquarters. You will report on balance sheet reviews for the various Asia Pacific markets, endorse areas for improvement and partner with the local countries to execute recommendations, monitor and follow up progress till completion. Working with the internal finance team across the region, you will review their cashflow forecast, country capital expenditure budget and forecasts and quarterly provisions such as inventory provisions, doubtful debts, and sales return reserves. You will be an instrumental partner to the in-country Financial Controllers, advice on internal controls and risk matters, and proactively recommend continuous improvement for efficient finance and commercial processes. One of the multiple projects that you will be working on includes the conversion to new accounting standards on revenue recognition.
To be a successful candidate, you must possess a Degree in Accounting with at least 8 years' of internal controls or finance and accounting with an emphasis in internal controls or compliance, within an international MNC. You must possess solid business acumen, exceptional interpersonal, communication and influential skills. Experience in performing successful continuous improvement initiatives and ability to handle multiple projects effectively, are required to succeed in this role.
