5+ years sales and relationship management experience working for a software vendor in the electronic trading space. Strong experience in trading system like futures, derivatives, options, equities, api, bonds or related products. Exposure with Money Brokers, Professional Trading Firms, Small Banks, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Prop Trading, etc. Mandarin language skills.

Our client is a Global Trading Firm, offering the right entrepreneurial individual the opportunity to take a lead in expanding the firm's regional client base in APAC. The role offers an exciting and demanding dual remit, managing existing clients and to expand their sales growth across the Region. Initial responsibilities include delivering both sales and customer support. Assessing clients’ product development requirements and feedback to the engineering team, ensuring a continuation of company offerings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Visiting company’s existing clients and new business leads across the APAC region
  • Implementing and enforcing best practice across the team
  • Being fully conversant with all company products and services, providing potential and existing customers accurate information and support in a professional and timely manner
  • Developing structured account management plans to support the growth and development of new and existing accounts
  • Attending conferences, trade shows and sales meetings across the sales territory
  • Proactively supporting and encouraging clients through the on-boarding of systems
  • Monitoring competitor activity in the region and relaying it to the senior management team


Requirements for the role:

  • Min 5 years’ territory sales or business development experience within the electronic trading space, ideally with an ISV
  • Sound technical knowledge a must and need to be able to understand and sell to CTOs and highly technical trading outfits using algo driven solutions
  • Strong market knowledge of electronic trading firms in the region
  • Ambitious and driven, incumbent will bring a high level of confidence and maturity to the role
  • Substantial experience in a business role, with an understanding of the nuances in sales and marketing to different cultures within the region
  • Fluent Mandarin language skills
