The Role Responsibilities

Our engineering team aims to build modern digital solutions in the Wealth Management space. We constantly strive to reduce time-to-market and streamline our development processes. As part of the team you will directly collaborate with business stakeholders on regular basis to devise and implement solutions incrementally in short iterations. We follow the agile methodology with continuous delivery practices and expect you to actively participate in our continuous improvement process.
The candidate will operate as the Scrum Master role and facilitate the delivery of capabilities using the Scrum framework with the delivery team and working closely with Business Product Owner and Technology Delivery Head
Responsibilities:
  • This role holder will provide management and oversight in the following areas:
  • Implementation of specified capabilities using the agile framework on the Managed Investment products
  • Drive adoption and rollout of Agile and modern software design and engineering best practices such as Test-Driven-Development, BDD, code reviews, and Continuous Integration;
  • Lead project / scrum team in design methods and principles, and collaboration discussion between IT and business teams;
  • Candidate should have exception collaboration and negotiation skills to help build networks with other teams for faster project delivery.
  • Candidate will be responsible of independently resolving impediments for the team, with support from Delivery Lead, in exceptional cases.
  • Candidate will ensure that the risks, issues, and schedules are managed transparently following agile principles.
  • Candidate will work with technology teams to co-ordinate development and create a delivery pipeline across multiple streams;
  • Atlassian suite of products such as JIRA, Confluence will be adopted as a standard for issue and risk management, and the management of product backlog and inventory. The role holder will be responsible for rollout of this tool to the team.
  • The ideal candidate would support the delivery lead in managing project financials and budget of 2-3 mill USD.
  • Candidate should have technical background and should have hands-on experience in the past or present role
  • Candidate will be responsible for grooming the team members around agile maturity and will be responsible for increasing the maturity levels of the teams assigned.
  • Candidate will also perform another team role for 50% of their time, over and above SM role, this could be developer, tester, system analyst etc.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10 years of IT experience. Knowledge and 5 years of experience on Agile project management standards and techniques;
  • Scrum Master certification is required;
  • Practices servant leadership. Helps the delivery team to remove impediments and self organize.
  • The role will play an important part in facilitating an uplift in technical excellence across the team including adoption of Dev Ops and Automated Testing tools. The candidate must demonstrate proven competence in software development and coaching experience;
  • An ability to apply strong leadership, and assertiveness to deliver projects on time and within stakeholder expectations;
  • Expertise on user centred design preferred;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Confidence in role and able to independently manage senior stakeholder communication.
