Senior Business Analyst, FM TPT Data and Middleware

The Financial Markets Data and Middleware team is looking for strong, hands-on candidate to fill the role of Senior Business Analyst. Our team develops the solutions for golden sources of operational reference data, and message based integration solutions for global Financial Markets application systems at Standard Chartered. Key current initiatives include creation of golden sources of operational reference data for settlements, the distribution of reference data to application systems and integration of trade processing systems front-to-back.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders in Financial Markets Operations Reference Data Control Group on digitization of end-to-end operational functional processes that require reference data.
  • Lead the functional design and collaborate with application development teams on the technical solution
  • Produce and maintain the strategic roadmap for Operational Reference Data
  • Manage and coach junior to mid-level business analysts

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science from a top tier university
  • Master degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • In depth knowledge of Financial products in FX, Fixed Income and Equity markets
  • An SME and practical work experience in the Operational and Finance functional processes that support the sell-side businesses in Financial Market products
  • Specific work experience in operational reference data, including SSI, trade confirmation static data, products and instruments, rates and prices
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of business analysis work experience in the financial industry
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of IT and proven track record of working with IT developers on implementing application software solutions
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage people and get work achieved through them
