Senior IT Manager (SAP- ABAP)

Senior IT Manager reports to the IT General Manager. The role leads 4 Managers or Team Leads for
SAP Applications Managed Services (AMS) to Sales and Manufacturing Companies, SAP ABAP
Development Centre and SAP Basis Support, with approximately 30 members in multiple countries.
The scope for this role is growing and it is expected to develop into a larger Managed Services within
the next 12 months.
Responsibilities
Senior IT Manager will oversee the Support Operations and continuous improvement, including AMS
Governance, Compliance, ABAP Development Centre and Basis support activities. This position will
develop and lead the Centre of Excellence in support of overall Company Vision, ensures that the
systems and services are highly reliable. He/She is expected to keep current with trends in the IT Industry, especially the development of SAP Products and Architecture with opportunities to drive emerging technologies, tools and best practices.
Core work responsibilities:
Oversees Service Standards, Processes, and Tools
? Sets the vision, strategy, and leadership for service management and availability
? Defines, manages, and continually improves service level reporting and implement metrics
to demonstrate continuous improvement
? Establish, maintain and enforce all operation processes among the IT support teams and
supporting companies (example change management processes, escalation procedures)
? Manages day-to-day relationships with all IT teams to ensure service integration delivery
meets or exceeds expectations
? Manage service providers for service performance as agreed in the service agreement
? Ensures that the organization is driving automation and lean processes into the delivery of
services

Service Availability
? Responsible for building the team and process structure to ensure incidents are properly
identified, reported upon, and the incident response processes are executed to ensure
minimal downtime and impact to the business
? Leads a team that reviews incident data for trends and problems. Seeks opportunities to
remediate and reduce frequency of incidents
? Builds the infrastructure and strategic approach to service transition and promote to-
production exercises
? Responsible for executing and leading the operational readiness exercises and overseeing
the release to production exercises
? Responsible for the strategy around monitoring and alerting tools and interfaces
? Take the lead role in emergency preparedness to support abilities to respond to unexpected
circumstances. Oversees development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.

? Create a vision, clear direction, and strategy for the team
? Generate enthusiasm and understanding of the team vision and how each role contributes
to the achievement of that vision
? Ensure appropriate processes are in place and executed to drive collaboration and alignment
within the team and with the broader IT organization
? Supervises recruitment, development, retention of highly skilled members
? Provide Project Management support to minor projects related to SAP

Education and Experience
? Minimum of 8 years of IT service management experience from a managed
service/technology provider
? ITIL and SAP certifications are preferred
? Subject matter expertise in either Sales Supply Chain or Manufacturing
(Discrete/Repetitive) Supply Chain
? Sound SAP knowledge of Discrete/Repetitive Manufacturing or Sales functionalities
? Experience to support multi-countries in APAC and China region is highly preferred
? Good vendor management and stakeholders' management is required
? End to end infrastructure lifecycle experience, with Cloud, HANA and hybrid
? Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management and
equivalent work experience
? Experience managing a large operations team including recruiting, coaching and
performance management

Educational Qualifications
Degree in Business, Information Technology or equivalent
