Senior Institutional Sales Mgr with  growing Cryptocurrency trading firm

  • Deg qualified with 5-10 years of trading background/experiences from the finance industry/markets
  • Prior working experience in trading and institutional client services is mandatory
  • Open to cands working as a trader or sales in the investment banks (in the sales & trading desk), hedge funds or proprietary trading firms, or as a Financial Advisor in primary market with good connections

 

Our client is a cryptocurrency trading, asset management and aftermarket advisory firm.

For this role, the person will be part of its growing Business Development team. We are searching for a Senior Institutional Sales Manager, with a key focus to expand and generate new businesses, focused on institutional clients across the globe. You will strategically approach target companies to discuss business opportunities, identify strategies and opportunities and spearhead new investment and trading ideas for our clients. Although you strive to meet and exceed target, you will always act in the best interest of the client.

 

Job Responsibilities

New Customer Acquisition

  • To act independently and take ownership of driving all types of sales efforts for the firm’s full suite of trading and asset management products and services across the desired products and asset classes, including client acquisition and retention, business development and lead generation, conversation opening, onboarding, post-sales client services, cross-sales, repurchase and strategic partnerships
  • To understand Client’s business needs and objectives by conducting thorough research, understanding Client’s buying motivators, decision criteria, investment propensity before pitching the Company’s competitive product/positioning to cater to Client’s requirements and win investment mandates
  • To develop new institutional prospects globally across Asia Pacific and the United States

 

Maintaining Customer Relationships

  • To maintain existing portfolio of partners including but not limited to blockchain companies, crypto exchanges, and institutional investors
  • To keep track of client activities and stay updated with clients’ trading interest and risk appetite to devise tailored client engagement strategies and produce market intelligence report

 

Development of Business Development & Trading Strategy

  • Applies business acumen in planning by considering macro and micro factors, with a focus on Client’s needs
  • Develop sales pipelines to exceed sales target
  • To work closely with trading teams and look out for new market trends, adhoc trading opportunities and to come up with investment and trading ideas

 

Marketing and Compliance

  • To generate marketing and PR content and other marketing efforts to constantly improve brand awareness in the region
  • To adhere to compliance protocol at all times

 

Mandatory requirements:

  • Deg qualified with 5-10 years of trading background/experiences from the finance industry/markets
  • Prior working experience in trading and institutional client services is mandatory
  • Prior working experience in crypto advisory and/or investment is a plus (not a must)
  • Individuals should be working as a trader or sales in the investment banks (in the sales & trading desk), hedge funds or proprietary trading firms, or as a Financial Advisor in primary market with good connections
  • Individuals with sell side and OTC experiences will be highly relevant
  • As the focus for this role is institutional clients, leads & connections in global context will be required
  • Open to all asset classes, but the individual will need to have a good knowledge of margin and derivatives.
  • Individual has to possess strong finance and product knowledge 
  • Individual who is passionate and have a strong interest in cryptocurrency market.
  • Experience in leading a team will be a plus for the role
  • Highly self-driven, resourceful and organized individual
  • Ability to think critically and act independently is highly desirable
  • Possesses good leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to manage a large number of prospect situations simultaneously while positioning Company products/positioning against competitors
  • Possesses strong finance and product knowledge
  • Has good knowledge of margin and derivatives
