As a key member of the management team, you will be focussed on adding value to the strategic change agenda of Product Control and Valuation Control. The role is a key point of contact for all regulatory and change initiatives impacting the function, assist in the implementation of the financial transformation agenda and assess all change impacting the Product Control teams/systems. The role will also drive accounting and reporting process excellence, develop rigorous process management discipline and culture, and manage engagement with regulators and internal/external auditors.
1. Change Management:
Oversee the execution and manage stakeholder interface relating to all projects impacting the function
Lead and drive the change management agenda of the function which results in automation, enhancing existing controls and efficiency
Manage and monitor process flows from an end-to-end perspective, including activities which are performed in GBS India
Partner with stakeholders to deliver planned projects and change initiatives
Drive continuous improvement within the function, contributing to the improvement of the overall control environment and improving efficiency
Embed a culture of change management while driving hard benefits and process improvement
2. Information Systems
Ensure that there are efficient Financial Information Systems which satisfy the reporting needs of FM Product Control
Ensure the systems are subject to controls that ensure the completeness and accuracy of the information they contain
Contribute to the overall financial management of all information systems in the country including the planning, budgeting, project approval and execution of new systems
3. Drive the identification and implementation of key initiatives

4. Develop a strong internal network
Proactively engaging all key stakeholders
Representing the team and department at various working groups / committees
Reaching out to other business areas / regions to ensure best practice is implemented

6. Provide proactive support to line management
Providing a well controlled and transparent governance structure
Proactively aligning the teams goals with the demands of the department
Challenging requests received from all key stakeholders
At least 8 years relevant experience in a control environment.
Advanced understanding of accounting and valuation concepts and methodologies for a wide range of financial instruments.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to navigate the matrix organisation and influence stakeholders at the highest level.
Familiarity with banking regulations in footprint countries (E.g. Basel, FRTB, MiFID, Volcker etc).
Experience working in a control function (Internal Audit, Compliance and Operational Risk) or project management within an international bank setting will be highly regarded.
