We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager Financial Crime Risk Management and Transformation.

Principal responsibilities

  • The Senior Manager Financial Crime Risk and Customer Due Diligence Transformation is responsible and accountable for the delivery of transformation and projects within the Commercial Banking business in support of the Global Standards journey, with responsibility for projects, process review and reengineering, tracking or progress and achievement of goals covering the breadth of the Commercial Banking business, products, propositions and regulatory and compliance considerations, working with partners from across the bank.
  • Support sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio and through acquisition of new quality customers
  • Effective management of compliance and business risk in the areas of Financial crime, and work to mitigate and effectively manage risks within the business
  • Monitor the business and areas of accountability regularly
  • Ensure outcomes that ensure a fair balance between customer and HSBC interests while remaining within the bounds of prudent banking
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of business information related to risk and risk management
  • Work collaboratively with other Global Businesses, Product and Service Partners to deliver on projects, enhancements and updates to improve outcomes for the business and clients
  • Maintain active contact and oversight of the business areas of accountability, and ensure senior management and key stakeholders are kept updated
  • Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment
  • Apply policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Previous experience in financial services in management, operations, risk or client coverage
  • Sound knowledge of core commercial banking products, credit and lending, trade services, treasury, and investment banking products, local regulations and exposure to corporate banking industry
  • Degree holder preferred
  • Strong project management and transformation experience
  • Effective stakeholder management across business stakeholders, Head of Business and business leadership and Relationship Managers
  • Strong inter personal and managerial skills, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Clear ability to delicately handle and resolve inter, intra departmental issues
  • Established understanding of local and regional regulations, and keen awareness of financial crime risk management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal, project management and negotiation skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willing to change and to be proactive to drive change
  • High integrity and professionalism
