Team overview Network Operations is part of Global Technology Infrastructure department and is responsible to manage the global network and security infrastructure. The team will do the operational, project and engineering in the multiple aspect such as routing, load balancing, monitoring and optimizing the network.

Network Operations is part of Global Technology Infrastructure department and is responsible to manage the global network and security infrastructure. The team will do the operational, project and engineering in the multiple aspect such as routing, load balancing, monitoring and optimizing the network.

Job Purpose/Background:
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with regional and global teams to provide ongoing support for the global network infrastructure
• Assist in developing solutions and implement changes as necessary
• Perform network configuration changes in accordance with change management process
• Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery, creating preventative measures to deploy in the enterprise
• Respond to alerts by following documented procedures for verifying, determining the case and resolving or escalating as necessary
• Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network configuration, network diagrams and processes.
• Ensures that all process and procedures have been implemented, understood and followed for their responsible shift
• Review incident reports provided by vendors, as well as draft internal incident summary reports to senior management when called for
• Participate in on-call rotation, shift work and regular weekend work. Willing to work on 9-hour shift pattern, public holidays and weekends

Knowledge/Experience:
• 5 – 6 years in IT infrastructure engineering/support role.
• In-depth knowledge of network routing and switching technologies and protocols
• Extensive Experience with various Cisco equipment, including routers, switches and firewalls
• Working knowledge with CheckPoint, Cisco firewalls, load balancers and WAN accelerators
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills, both written and oral
• Flexible and able to shift rapidly with an ever changing environment
• Must possess ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and escalate issues effectively
• Outstanding written, verbal communication, as well as strong customer service skills
• Flexible and able to shift rapidly with an ever changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives in the execution of daily operations
 
Skills/Qualifications:
• Good academic background with a degree or equivalent qualification in Information technology, Business Studies, Computing or relevant subject.
• Scripting and Programming skills: python, bash, VBscript, etc.
• Mandatory knowledge and experience with network infrastructures such as LAN and WAN network technologies
• Working knowledge of UNIX / Linux
• CCNP Cisco certification or higher is preferred

• Good teamwork across multiple locations (US, EMEA and APAC)
• A team player, and can also work on own initiative
• Ability to work under tight timelines and pressure
 
The position will be required to work on shifts and on call. These shifts and on call will also cover the weekends.
