We Offer
The Client Philanthropy in APAC is an award winning client value proposition (Asian Private Banker "Best Bank - Philanthropy" Awards 2011 & 2012). It comprises of an advisory component (philanthropy advisory) and a platform of product offerings (SymAsia, an umbrella foundation which allows clients to conveniently set up their own donor advised funds).

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about developing client work and the value proposition, capable of assisting with the ongoing business operations of SymAsia.

  • Grants/Marketing Scope:
    • Attend and support meeting with Clients and Prospects
    • Coordinate and participate in meetings with beneficiaries and potential partners
    • Assists, collaborate and prepare materials for marketing/grants meetings
    • Attend and support ad-hoc events (i.e. Philanthropy roundtables, Philanthropists Forum, etc.)
    • Compile Marketing Communication Materials for Clients and Prospects of SymAsia Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops in CS; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks at Philanthropy event
  • Operational & Administrative Duties:
    • Manage account opening for Donor Accounts and inter-departmental communication to execute this process
    • Manage donation disbursement requests from SymAsia Foundation's donors and liaising with respective beneficiaries and official charity reporting bodies for proper due diligence
    • Proactively resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions
    • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed and carries out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job
    • Prepare meeting materials and reports for bi annually Board of Directors and Board of Governors meeting
  • 3. Finance/Accounting Scope:
    • Liaise with 3rd party accounting service provider, Tricor as well as Credit Suisse Accounting Advisor (as needed) to provide timely and accurate monthly financial statements
    • Provide high level review over monthly financial statements
    • Lead internal and external audits of SymAsia Foundation
    • Liaise with Credit Suisse Tax advisors, PwC tax agents and handling tax matters from Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)
    • Responsible for raising Credit Suisse PRFs for expenses SymAsia Foundation
  • 4. Investment Scope:
    • Prepare meeting materials and reports for the Investment Review Committee of SymAsia.
    • Regularly prepare quarterly donor reports
    • Partner with Credit Suisse Sales & Advisory to provide investment oversight and review
  • 5. Regulatory Scope:
    • Face off to regulatory bodies including the Ministry of Community, Youth & Sports (MCYS)/ Commissioner of Charities (CoC), Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)
    • Liaise with internal and external corporate secretarial service provider (FMG) to ensure timely reporting to Accounting and Corporate Regulatory (ACRA)

You Offer

  • A background in accounting would be preferable, to handle cover finance/accounting scope with 3rd party service providers
