Territory Manager (South Asia) - FinTech


A leading FinTech company with global presence is looking to hire a Territory Manager to join their Strategic Partnerships - Asia team. This position will be based in Singapore and will report to the Director - Strategic Partnerships (Asia).

Job Scope

  • To develop and implement a strategic framework within which to build the organisation ecosystem in one or more territories across Asia by utilising existing local market knowledge and building strong relationships internally and with key external stakeholders.
  • Ability to get buy-in from regulatory, banking, MNO and mobile money platform partners on the planned approach to a new organisation implementation, and to then manage the effective roll-out of the central and local strategy in-country and to ensure delivery across operational, technology, financial and risk management measures.
  • Full ownership of the ecosystem, which includes having a thorough understanding of everything that is going on within the ecosystem, being an expert on the territory/s, market, population base, competitors, other MNOs and FSPs, in order to think specifically about the right strategy and future for that territory and how we can apply the organisation model to it to achieve the best overall effect for users, partners and organisation strategy.
  • Professional and strategic engagement with our partners, from identifying key influencers, to initiating and managing key account management initiatives and ideas including, but not limited to, hosting, weekly updates, inviting counter-parties to cool events and building a strong partnership by understanding their needs and providing them with value add in terms of good reporting, good news updates and data products.
  • Effective problem solving and upfront mangement of expectations through communicating up and out clearly and calmly when faced with issues, specifically integration delays, regulatory or compliance concerns, data flow issues or portfolio issues, whilst owning the resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • Identify and unblock any issues that impede progress - be that internal constraints in the organisation or things that need to be sorted out with counter-parties through regular monitoring nad review in line with project timelines and the critical path.

Job Requirements
  • Super-generalist with expertise in across a wide range of commercial, marketing and technical areas
  • Relevant university degree with a specialisation in Marketing, Business management, Project management and/or MIS
  • Track record of delivery within Financial Services, Technology, Telecom, FMCGs, FinTech industry
  • Very good understanding and experience of financial products and performance, including credit risk, dynamics of lending, saving and some insurance
  • Sound experience in relationship management, operations management, key account management and project management experience
